Find Their Faces
Help Me Put Faces to the Names
One of the most rewarding parts of family history is discovering not only where our ancestors lived and what happened during their lives, but finally being able to see their faces.
Unfortunately, some of the people who have become most important to the family story I am researching remain faces I have never seen.
I hope you can help change that.
Faces I’m Searching For
At present, I have no known photographs of several people whose lives are an important part of our family story.
More broadly, I have been unable to identify photographs of any members of the Gowton family who came before Peter and Verna Gowton.
Somewhere, however, photographs may still exist.
They may be in an old album inherited by another branch of the family, tucked into a box of unidentified photographs, held by a distant cousin, or preserved in a church, school, newspaper, military, or historical collection.
That is why I am asking for your help.

John Gowton
Died May 25, 1901 - Scottdale, Pennsylvania
John Gowton is one of the ancestors whose story I have been working to reconstruct, but I have never seen a photograph of him.

Mary Elizabeth Brannan Gowton
Died September 7, 1907 - Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania
Mary Elizabeth (often know as Elizabeth) is one of the ancestors whose story I have been working to reconstruct, but I have never seen a photograph of her.
